How does our group class look like?
Every single group course that we teach, for example our Dutch Beginner course, is divided between 8 sessions, 2 hours long each. The sessions happen twice per week for four weeks continuously. All courses are designed to be intensive and focus on building fluent communication skills.
Usually the first few sessions introduce new material, and the latter ones aim at continuous improvement of new knowledge by implementing tests, games and discussions.
Due to the specific 16h-long course setting we have developed our own curriculum which follows the CEFR guidelines and encompasses plenty of vocabulary, grammar classes, reading & writing. However what makes studying at Belingual unique are many active language usage moments:

Discussions​​
You have to use newly learnt vocabulary​ to express your opinions about class, university/the workplace or worldwide issues.

Improvisation, Competitions and Games
Imagine you go to a store. Your classmates are customers, your teacher is a police agent and you are a robber. They have to use the vocabulary they know, to describe how you robbed the store and you need to defend yourself. None of you have a written scenario, everyone experiments! Instead of boring vocabulary tests, our teachers will play games and have you compete against your classmates to test your knowledge.

Voice message updates, watching podcasts and series in your target language or class outings
We try to use little moments both in class and when it comes to homework to help you achieve as full of an immersion into your target language as possible. Our team of native speakers will also help you feel at home in the culture by taking you through the calendar of yearly festivities and cultural traditions that will make learning the language even more fun!

Class Itself
Once you reach a certain level of fluency, the teacher will progressively speak only in e.g. Dutch, making your Maastricht-based Dutch language course truly... immersive!
